In Loving Memory

Foot Prints!!

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was
walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky
flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed
two sets of footprints in the sand; One belogned to
him and the other to the Lord.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
He looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of his
life there was only one set of footprints. He also
noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest
times in his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it.
"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you'd walk with me all the way. But I've noticed
that during the most troublsome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand
why when I needed you most you would leave me".

The Lord replied, "My precious, precious child, I love
you and would never leave you. During your times
of trail and suffering, when you see only one set
of footprints, It was then that I carried you".

Some people come into our lives and quickly go.
Some stay for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts,
And we are never ever the same!

It is with great saddness that we inform you with
the passing of our friend and co-worker Marvin Drake.
May you rest in peace Marvin.
God Bless you and your family.

"Peace and Promise"
"When the day meets the night, I will think of you.
When the stars shine in the sky, I'll call your name.
And when the rainbows appear, I might shed a tear.
Though I know there's peace and promise where you are.

I may not understand and just why things happen the way they do.
But I know that there are reasons for all that we go through.
And I have to believe that there's never an end.
But everlasting love and life beyond.

When the day meets the night, I will think of you.
When the stars shine in the sky, I'll call your name.
And when rainbows appear, I might shed a tear.
Though I know there's peace and promise where you are.

I'll remember the day that GOD called your name.
And find the comfort in the memories of,,,
'cause I'll always have my memories of you"
